MacGregor "Dayton O." Pat. Pend 1919 Fancy Face Wood with Ivory Inserts - Shaft Stamp
Fancy dot faced clubs are often sought after by collectors due to different colors, shapes and design styles. The Crawford McGregor & Canby Company opened up shop in 1897, becoming one of the initial American club manufacturers. During the 1930's the company was brought under new ownership and renamed Goldsmith - MacGregor, which then was quickly changed to MacGregor. This MacGregor fancy face wood is presented in good condition with stamps on head and shaft. "Made By The Crawford McGregor & Canby Co. Dayton, Ohio" the shaft stamp reads. The club has nicking that is common in clubs of this age. 41 1/2" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
