Contained in this offering is 1933 US Open at North Shore GC Wire Photos - Leo Diegel & Frank Walsh - June 7th & 8th. Both Diegel and Walsh are captured at the end of their swings, taking a long look at their shot. Amateur Johnny Goodman went on to win the 1933 U.S. Open (becoming the fifth and final amateur to this day to win the Championship). The closest an amateur has come to a U.S. Open title since 1933 was in 1960 when a young Jack Nicklaus was the runner-up, two strokes back. These photos are in good condition and contain the media captions from the 1933 US Open on the reverse. approx 7" x 9."
