1944 PGA Championship at Manito G&CC Program - Bob Hamilton Winner
1949 Ryder Cup contestant Bob Hamilton from Evansville, Indiana won the 1944 PGA Championship in match play over Byron Nelson. Held in Spokane, WA, it was the only major tournament played in the US that year and the first to be played in the Pacific Northwest. In the 1944 PGA 36 hole Championship round, PGA top player of the day, Byron Nelson performed admirably posting a score of 140, 4-under-par. He flat out got beat that day with Bob Hamilton posting a 5-under-par total to claim the '44 PGA Championship. The program in this lot presents in very good condition as seen in the photos
