Just over a year after being injured in a near fatal car accident, Ben Hogan claimed the 2nd of his 4 US Open titles at Merion. The 1950 US Open saw one of the most famed shots in the history of the sport, Ben Hogan's 1-iron approach shot to the 72nd green at Merion Golf Club. Hogan's incredible shot to earned his place in a three way playoff the following day 6/11/50, Sunday. Hogan was able to defeat Lloyd Mangrum and George Fazio in the Sunday playoff by 4 strokes. 8" x 8 3/4"
