The McEwan family was one of the top clubmakers dating back to as early as the 1770s, a time when feathery balls were still being played. The McEwan's were made up of six club makers with this club representing the fashion of craftmanship only seen with a McEwan. The Auchterlonie brothers were well-known golf club and ball makers out of St. Andrews, and here we have a prime example of one of their products. Laurie and Willie Auchterlonie each won a major championship, as Willie won the 1893 Open Championship and Laurie won the eighth U.S. Open in 1902. An excellent McEwan crafted club such as this example is expected to draw major interest from bidders looking to enhance their hickory club collection.

If you would like any additional pictures of the club we would be happy to to supply them, please inquire prior to September 16th to guarantee an and thorough response.
