1999 European Ryder Cup Team Signed Matted Photo
The 1999 Ryder Cup did not disappoint, as it had the drama and fireworks that many hope for with each match between Europe and the United States. The Europeans lead 10-6 prior to the final round, needing 4 points on that Sunday to retain the Cup. Many remember Leonard having his match with Jose Maria Olazabal after holing a 45 foot putt on the second to last hole. This match is also known as the "Battle of Brookline." This European Team photo is signed by each member including rookies Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, along with veterans Jose Maria Olazabal and Colin Montgomerie and Lee Westwood. Signatures are on the matting and not the photo, ensuring maximum visibility on the white background. 14" x 12." All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
