Gene Sarazen Signed Cut with Framed 1929 Sepia Tone Photograph
Culminating in a tasteful and aesthetically pleasing framed and matted pairing of 'The Squire's' time-period signature just below a 1929 Sepia Tone Photograph is a tribute to Gene Sarazen, the founder of the exclusive modern day Career Grand Slam. A young 27-year old Sarazen is captured in formal attire posed with his hands behind his back, likely abiding by professional photographer's instructions. The flowing and dark time-period ink below is nicely framed by the matting and reads "Gene Sarazen - Roosevelt Hotel - Pelham, N.Y.' Photo measures 4" x 5". Framed piece measures 9" x 12 3/4." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
