Containing pencil signatures from Vic Ghezzi, Jimmy Thompson, Johnny Bulla, Ted Rhodes, George Fazio & others is this page from the World Championship of Golf program containing the 'World's largest golf trophy." The influential late golfers competed in the international golf competition that lasted from 1946 until 1957. None of these were more influential than the man that helped break the color barrier in the game of golf. The WWII veteran started his journey as a caddie at Nashville, TN's Belle Meade Country Club and Richland Country Club. Rhodes moved to Chicago after the military and met boxing legend Joe Louis and other notable athletes and entertainers. He was the first African-American professional golfer and played in the 1948 US Open at Riviera. Rhodes passed away in 1969, making his signature one of the more difficult from that time-period. 5 1/4" x 6 1/8." Members of this signature lineup contested in numerous Ryder Cup matches and were well-known names on the PGA Tour for many years. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you**
