1964 US Open at Congressional Golf Club Press Arm Badge - Ken Venturi's Battle Against Heat, Course And Competitors
This armband distinguished the members of the press from the patrons, allowing them appropriate access to the the historically significant United States Golf Association Championship in 1964 at the sultry Congressional Country Club just outside Washington D.C.. It would prove to be Ken Venturi's defining moment of his Hall of Fame career as he broke trough for this major triumph in the most adverse of conditions. This white armband features all of the pertinent information written with contrast in red notating 64th (edition of the Championship) and PRESS reversing out of a blue block. It is in near mint condition (light staining consistent with wear lower left hand corner), with the the white elastic band still intact.

2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
