1952 Walter Hagen Photo with Jr. & III from his Autobiography From Estate with Plyer Letter
This was the exact lead off photograph that appeared on the page facing page 22 from The Walter Hagen Story. Hagen dedicated the book to his son and grandson, so naturally it would be first. Pencil notes on the reverse indicate these are the three Hagens and that the photo was taken at Mohawk Lake in New Jersey. Also has blue, red, and gray pencil book production notes. One blue pen notes "August 1952". This excellent condition photo has some very subtle and light creasing to the front bottom left corner. For the first time in nearly twenty years, this photo is being offered since being acquired from the Walter Hagen Collection. Also included with this photo is the letter from Shelby Player who inherited the collection from Hagen's personal secretary and fiancé Doris Brandes after her passing. 3 1/2" x 5 7/8"
