Bobby Jones Signed 1947 Letter - Masters and Golf Balls Mentions

Here is a letter from 1947 that was composed on Jones' Firm's letterhead. The content of this letter includes mention of Jones sending clubs and golf ball to a fellow military man in Brazil (war rationing must have still been tough, as Jones mentions even he can't get any golf balls. Also of note in composition of letter is Jones asking if the Colonel will attend the '47 Masters Tournament. Bobby Jones left his signature "Bob" with black pen above his name at the end of the letter. 20 years prior to this letter Bobby Jones erected his dream golf course in Augusta and named it Augusta National Golf Club. That decision, whether it was for business or pleasure, ended up being one of the most important ones for professional golf in America to date and since. Jones didn't waste any time and started the Augusta National Invitation Tournament only a year later. This letter from one of if not the greatest golfer of all time includes a FULL letter from JSA, which is #BB42862.

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
