Gus Moreland Signed Acushnet Advertising '1934' Masters Field Photo

This high quality reproduction of a 1960's Acushnet advertising piece pictures the contestants in the first Masters Tournament, including Gus Moreland (back row) who signed this piece in black sharpie with the date of signature. Like Bobby Jones, Gus Moreland was a career amateur golfer. The two-time Walker Cupper had a reputation of beating the best of his time with golfing luminaries from his home state of Texas Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson on that list. He had multiple exemptions as a 1933 Walker Cup team member and his high finish of 7th place in that year's US Open This actual photo represented has since been correctly titled as the 1935 Masters Field, and then of course it wasn't called the Masters back then, it was known as the Augusta National Invitational Tournament. 20" x 13." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
