Arnold Palmer Signed 2001 Masters Golf Ball with '60-62-64' Inscription
Was the 1960's the most influential decade at The Masters? That argument could easily be made. The decade that coined 'The Big Three' of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player 1961, accounted for seven of the ten green jacket recipients of the '60s. Television continued to expand their Masters Tournament broadcast coverage under CBS' Frank Chirkinian tutelage starting in 1959, adding cameras on the fairways and tees and the popular Wednesday Par 3 Tournament started in 1960 at the 9 hole course that is also on the hallowed grounds. Back to those 'Big Three' Masters Tournament wins during the decade - three were attributed to "The King" Arnold Palmer in 1960, 1962 and 1964. In his hand were added each of those 1960's Masters Tournament wins to this Masters logo ball just below his flowing signature. The Masters Tournament wouldn't have been the same without the impact of Arnold Palmer in the 1960's, expanding the tournament audience into what it is today. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their full letter of authenticity with the letter addition of "The inscription "60-62-64" was penned in the hand of Arnold Palmer" comes with this lot.

When placing INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm ET
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm ET
**Once extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
