Horton Smith Signed Tag on Album Page with June 12, 1932 Notation

Springfield, Missouri's Horton Smith will forever be known as the champion of the first Masters in 1934. He added a second win at Augusta in 1936 among his 32 career PGA triumphs. In 1930, he was the only player to defeat Bobby Jones in his Grand Slam season. Smith was also a top player in the early Ryder Cup competitions appearing in five consecutive events from 1929-37. The World Golf Hall of Famer was the first past Masters Champion to decease when he sadly passed away in 1963 at 55, making his signature among the toughest past champions for that run since the tournament was coined in 1934. Here we have a clean signed card by Smith in strong pencil on a mounted tag with "June 12, 1932" written below. This piece has been recently discovered while going through a scrapbook that included even a signature from a nearby town's mayor. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm ET
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm ET
