Tiger Woods, Captain Nicklaus & Team Signed 2003 The President's Cup Flag - Framed
From the DiMarco Collection comes this framed flag carrying sharpie from legends Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, along with the entire 2003 United States Presidents Cup team including Chris DiMarco. In addition to those names are: Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, David Love III, David Toms, Justin Leonard, Jay Haas, Charles Howell III, Fred Funk, Kenny Perry, Jerry Kelly, and Jeff Sluman. The 2003 international contest marked the 5th playing of the Presidents Cup. The matches took place at Fancourt Hotel in George, Western Cape, South Africa. Captaining the International team was South African native Gary Player, who would square off against United States Team captain Jack Nicklaus. Friends and competitors, Nicklaus and Player led their respective teams to a 17-17 point draw. After three playoff holes they decided to share the honors for the 2003 Presidents Cup victor. A signed letter of provenance from the DiMarco family comes with this lot.
