Ben Hogan 1950 US Open at Merion 18th Green 1-Iron Swing Photo Poster - 1993
A gentleman by the name of Hy Peskin of LIFE magazine took this historic photo of Ben at the 18th hole of the 1950 US Open at Merion, one that possibly rivaled Hogan's golf shot itself in greatness. Under the improbable circumstances of the pressure of the moment and the club selection. Hogan pulled it off and won the 1950 US Open. Captured by photographer Peskin at just the right moment, this image is one of the most well-known ones in all of golf.
