Multi-Signed Get Well Card To Henry Cotton Including Ryder Cups Players

An instrumental figure in golf, numerous fellow professionals signed a get well card in 1981 after it was learned that Cotton was ill. This includes numerous Ryder Cuppers, the international matches that Henry Cotton was a regular contributor to. Known by many as Great Britain's greatest player since the days of Harry Vardon, Henry Cotton left his mark on the game of golf. After 10 straight American victories in the British Open, Cotton broke the string when he won in 1934. He won again in 1937 and for a third time in 1948. He captained the British Ryder Cup teams in 1947 and 1953. He seldom competed in the United States (only twice in U.S. Open 1931 and '56 and only three times in Masters 1948,'56 and '57). James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot
