2001 American Express Press Ticket Set Plus Senior Amateur Tickets - Events Cancelled 9/11
This lot offers a piece of history because these items included were from an event that never took place. The September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon obviously put the sports world on hold as the nation took time to recover from the acts of terrorism. The PGA Tour scheduled event, the American Express Championship was intended to be played from Sept. 13-16 at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, but would never happen. Still, tickets were made for the event, and this lot presents each from the cancelled tournament. The items are in great condition and are a unique collectible for any golf historian.
