Walter Stoddart Special Deep Faced Mashie With Shaft Stamp
Characteristic of a "Rustless" club head is the great eye appeal and legibility of the stampings as found on this Walter Stoddart club example. Hailing from Scotland, Stoddart was born in 1877 and in addition to head professional at Mount Kisco Golf Club, he had great appreciation for dogs. In 1897 Stoddart packed up his things and moved to America where he worked at The Country Club in Brookline for a short time prior to working at Nassau Country Club. This Deep grove faced club is in good condition and presents well. 36 1/2
