Few will forget the 1991 PGA Championship, the 73rd edition with one of the most improbable story lines. It was hosted by Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. The relatively unheard of 9th alternate by the name of John Daly won the first of his two major titles by three strokes, receiving a cult following from golf and non golf fans alike shortly thereafter.
