1891 Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews Rules for the Game of Golf
Very early and scarce rules book representing an important and major revision to the Rules of golf at the time. One of the prized features of this book is the folding map of the links contained within featuring a “Plan of Golfing Course, St. Andrews.” This plan was surveyed and drawn by Little & Boothby, Kirkaldy, June 1879. The R&A emblem is stamped in gold colored leaf on the cover. Printed in St. Andrews by J Cook & Son. 30 pages. Likely issued with the intent that it could be easily carried along in one’s pocket with its small 3 ½ by 2 ½ size.
