Hal Sutton Signed 2001 The Players Magazine & Pairing Sheet
Hal Sutton signed both the 2001 Players Championship program and pairing sheet in which he was featured in celebration of his iconic Players championship win the year prior in black sharpie. "Be The Right Club Today!" Hal Sutton famously pleaded as he hit his 6 iron onto the 72nd hole green at the 2000 Players Championship to defeat red-hot Sunday playing partner Tiger Woods. Presented here is Champion Hal Sutton's personal contestant clip from that memorable tournament! The final round Sunday card was carried and signed by runner-up Tiger Woods himself. It was the right club and that club was a Ben Hogan Apex club. Sutton's par score of four on TPC's 18th hole secured his narrow one stroke victory. A final round three-under par score of 69 would be a familiar number penciled on the right side of his Sunday card, on his way to keeping foe Woods out of the winner's circle. Sutton's 10-under 274 can be seen broken down hole-by-hole, with longtime PGA Tour players Stuart Appleby and Omar Uresti sharing a tee time with Sutton during the first, second and third rounds. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing at 10pm EDT
Extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
