Chi Chi Rodriguez's 1986 The Chrysler Cup Sterling Silver Golf Club on Plinthe
The inaugural Chrysler Cup in 1986 included the top eight United States senior professionals as a team event with a stroke play scoring format. Arnold Palmer served as the victorious playing captain of the team that consisted of Chi Chi Rodriguez, Lee Elder, Gene Littler, Billy Casper, Don January, Miller Barber and Dale Douglass. Fittingly Palmer, lead the way on the final round Sunday with a 69, Chi Chi a 70, and this Sterling Silver golf club on a wooden display with a matching sterling silver 'Crysler Cup' was presented to team member Chi Chi Rodriguez for his part in the 68-30 win over the International team that included Gary Player and Peter Thomson. 'Chi Chi Rodriguez - 1986' is carefully engraved on the silver hallmarked presentation putter that exudes class. Matching hallmarks can be found on the 'Chrysler Cup' engraved sterling silver nameplate mounted on the wooden display. A signed letter of provenance from John Foley comes with this lot.

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing at 10pm EDT
Extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
