Multi-Signed 20th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner Commemorative Framed Display

This large, horizontal panoramic commemorative display was created for the 20th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner, held at The Waldorf-Astoria in New York City on September 27, 2005. The gala event benefited The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the national fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The piece is distinguished by fifteen hand-signed autographs in black felt-tip marker, with each signature positioned above a corresponding photo panel or award category for the year's honorees. The autographs include the following individuals: Ray Bourque (NHL Hall of Famer) Tony Dorsett (NFL Hall of Famer) Lenny Wilkens (NBA Hall of Famer) Ozzie Smith (MLB Hall of Famer) Hal Sutton (PGA Golfer) K.C. Jones (NBA Hall of Famer) Mike Richter (NHL Star) Gary Hall Jr. (Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer) Don Garlits (Drag Racing Legend) Phil Mahre (Olympic Gold Medalist Skier) Bob Costas (Sports Broadcaster) Jack Nicklaus (Humanitarian Award / Golf Legend) Tommy Lee Jones (Outstanding Philanthropist / Actor) Tim Gannon (Charitable Business Leader / Outback Steakhouse Co-founder) Tom Brokaw (Master of Ceremonies / Journalist) The central background panel features printed informational sections detailing the mission of The Miami Project, the event program, and comprehensive lists of past sports legend honorees and committee members. The entire assembly is professionally presented with a white mat and housed in a black wood frame under glass. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed these signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot. 43 1/2" x 13 1/2"
