Original Big Three & Lee Oil on Canvas Painting Signed by Artist Bernie Fuchs - Framed
Here lies the Original Bernie Fuchs PGA of America commissioned 'Big Three & Lee' oil on canvas painting for their 1992 PGA Senior Championship advertising efforts. The American Illustrator's work is on a pedestal among the great contemporary American painters, with a special emphasis on the sports industry. Fuchs is credited with over 50 Sports Illustrated covers, postage stamps, work for the World Golf Hall of Fame, among other projects in his patented creation style influenced by photography and using artistic liberties in color and the simplification of detail. Appropriate subject matter for this painting used what many would consider the perfect golfing foursome or band name 'The Big Three & Lee.' Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player are focused on Lee Trevino's approach shot, with the green looming in the background. The color scheme is soft, yet Fuchs' intended vibrant wardrobes allow the golfers to pop off the painting. As expected for this large format oil on canvas, some slight crazing is present, as seen when inspected. The reverse 'Property of PGA America' blue identifying label can be found on the bottom of the stretched canvas wood. 34 1/2" x 42"

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you
