"Arnie" Arnold Palmer is a Member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Arnie won 62 PGA and 10 Senior PGA tournaments. In the Majors, he won four Masters in 1958-1960-1962 and 1964; the US Open in 1960; and the British Open in 1961 and 1962.
Billy Casper won the 1959 US Open held at Winged Foot Golf Club, in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The 1959 win was Casper’s first of two US Open wins, his second being in 1966. In addition to Carey’s two US Open victories he was also the Masters Champion in 1970 and following his career he was elected to The World Golf hall of Fame
The 1961 PGA champion Jerry Barber was from the school that practice leads to perfection on the golf course. Two of his sayings were, (first often attributed to Gary Player)"The more I practice, the luckier I get" and "They might be able to beat me, but they will never out practice me".
