This lot features a luxury large-format volume from Assouline publishing titled Golf: The Impossible Collection. The book is part of the publisher Ultimate Collection and is a hand-bound folio featuring green cloth boards with a gold-stamped golf ball emblem on the front cover and gold foil lettering on the spine. The volume is housed in its original custom white glossy slipcase designed with a dimpled texture mimicking a golf ball, featuring embossed text reading golf and ASSOULINE and a white rope carrying handle. The interior is printed on high-quality archival paper and contains numerous color and black-and-white plates illustrating the history and architecture of the sport. Notable contents include reproductions of the 1744 Articles & Laws in Playing at Golf, diagrams of antique clubs, historical advertisements, and photography of global courses including Kauri Cliffs and Barnbougle Dunes. The rear of the volume includes a comprehensive index and a directory of course architects across pages 178 to 181. This set is accompanied by a cream-colored canvas tote bag with brown trim and handles bearing the ASSOULINE name, and a pair of unused white cotton handling gloves in their original sealed plastic packaging.
