From Phil Mickelson's low round of the tournament 5-under 67 at his local course Torrey Pines is this PSA encapsulated official round scorecard in which Mickelson is the competitor. The round was moved up from 11:30 to 10:27 am PT but that wouldn't phase Lefty. Mickelson would record a birdie streak of three in a row and 4-under in his opening nine, starting the day on the 10th hole. Fellow Ryder Cupper Ed Dougherty would score for Mickelson this 2nd round in the tournament at the California venue in which Mickelson made his first PGA Tour start at 17 and first win as a pro - but hasn't won there since the US Open renovation by Rees Jones.
