Prestwick Golf Club: The Club, the Members and the Championships - 1851 to 1989, edited by David Cameron Smail is one of only 250 leather-bound copies from a total limited edition run of 1,250. The volume is bound in dark green/black textured leather with gold-gilt lettering on the spine and a rectangular gold-bordered title plate on the front cover featuring an image of the Championship Belt. The title page includes the title, an image of the belt. A limited edition of 1,250 total copies (250 leather, 1000 hard-case). A dedicated limitation page is hand-numbered 171/250 in green ink. The book contains 158 pages of text and illustrations documenting the history of the club, its membership, and its role as the birthplace of The Open Championship. The work includes reproductions of historical correspondence and photographs of modern tournaments such as the 1987 Amateur Championship. The book is housed in a matching dark green textured leather-covered slipcase.
