Robert Boyd's 1992 Izod Club Carolinas PGA Pro-Pro Championship Cristal d Arques Lead Crystal Trophy Vase Awarded to Bob Boyd
A lead crystal trophy vase manufactured by Cristal d Arques, France, awarded to professional golfer Bob Boyd for his victory in the 1992 Izod Club Carolinas PGA Pro-Pro Championship. The flared vase is crafted from clear lead crystal containing over 24 percent lead oxide. The exterior features a deeply cut geometric diamond and cross-hatch pattern around the lower half, transitioning into vertical fluting toward the polished rim. The body is etched with the logo of the Professional Golfers Association of America and the text IZOD CLUB, CAROLINAS PGA, and PRO-PRO CHAMPIONSHIP. An original gold foil manufacturer sticker is present near the rim which identifies the maker as Cristal d Arques, France. The vase sits upon a square, dark-stained wooden presentation base. The top of the base features a circular recessed area lined with green felt to secure the vase, while the underside has four green felt protective pads.
