Robert Boyd's 1994 Hilton Head Island Golf Professionals Championship Cut Crystal Trophy Vase
A clear cut crystal trophy vase of tapered cylindrical form, produced for the 1994 Hilton Head Island Golf Professionals Championship presented to Robert Boyd. The lower third of the body features deep geometric cuts, including a diamond-point cross-hatched pattern surmounted by elongated vertical leaf cuts. The upper portion of the vase is etched with the words HILTON HEAD ISLAND in an arched serif font above a stylized map of the island containing a golf pin and flag. Below the map, the text reads GOLF PROFESSIONALS CHAMPIONSHIP 1994 in horizontal lines of serif type. The base of the vase is decorated with a radial starburst cut pattern. An etched signature in a flourishing cursive script is located on the outer edge of the base, followed by the characters U S A. 10 1/8"H X 5 3/4"W
