Early correspondance regarding Augusta National Golf Club memberships in 1938 is drafted by Bobby Jones on The American Golf Institute's 8 3/8 X 10 7/8 letterhead to A.N.G.C.In the early days of the club wealthy sponsers often picked up memberships for other parties, in this case the Walgreen(s) Drug Company of Chicago has been the beneficiary of Mr. Burger's sponsorship. Two pairs of staple marks in upper lefthand corner, some age related toning to paper, small hole on left side of the body of letter, and two compacting folds are present. None of these modest aesthetic defects impact this early Augusta National body of correspondance which is signed "10" strength in black fountain pen by Robert T. Jones.
