A circular decorative porcelain plate from the Royal Worcester Golfing Collection, featuring a scene titled The Clubhouse. The central pictorial decoration is based on artwork by Melvyn Buckley and is signed in white script at the bottom right of the image. The scene portrays a golfer in period attire, specifically a red jacket and knickerbockers, on a green with a large stone clubhouse and two additional figures in the background. The image is framed by a wide maroon border decorated with a gold-tone lattice pattern and stylized foliate designs. The reverse bears a circular backstamp identifying the maker as Royal Worcester and the item as part of the Golfing collection, designed exclusively by Melvin Buckley. The backstamp also includes the Royal Worcester crown mark and states Made in England. Size 8".
