The blue ballpoint pen signature of The Slammer Sam Snead holding his putter with a big smile after getting even and forcing a playoff with Ben Hogan at the 1950 Los Angeles Open at Riviera. It was by way of a 15-foot putt on the 72nd hole with that very instrument. The next day Ben Hogan's historic comeback would be thwarted by Snead in playoff. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot. 6 1/4" x 8 1/4"
