Smith's Patent Anti-Shank Mashie...evidently this issue has been a problem for 100 years! The Smith patent pushes the face forward from the shaft and avoids the dreaded shank. This one has great stamps; the clover leaf SD&G depicts the Boston Ma retailer. Youds, a pro at Hoylake added his oval stamp as perhaps the final seller. Great original condition
