The Franklin Mint Tiger Woods Eyewitness 1997 Masters Tournament Commemorative .925 Sterling Silver Medal
A solid sterling silver commemorative medal produced by The Franklin Mint to celebrate Tiger Woods victory at the 1997 Masters Tournament. The obverse depicts dual portraits of Tiger Woods, showing the athlete in mid-swing alongside a larger head-and-shoulders portrait wearing a golf cap. The reverse is centrally inscribed ELDRICK TIGER WOODS / THE YOUNGEST EVER MASTERS CHAMPION / WIDEST WINNING MARGIN OF VICTORY / LOWEST SCORE IN MASTERS HISTORY. The outer rim is marked 61ST MASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT and 1997 CHAMPION. A printed mark on the lower reverse reads .925 STERLING SILVER above a script f monogram.
The medal is housed within a clear acrylic protective case featuring a dark green velvet-textured insert. The front of the case is printed with THE TIGER WOODS EYEWITNESS COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL while the back reads SOLID STERLING SILVER / LIMITED EDITION / MINTED BY THE FRANKLIN MINT. The assembly includes a smoked translucent acrylic base designed to hold the case upright for display.
The item is accompanied by its original white two-piece cardboard storage box with a protective styrofoam interior. Also included is a printed instruction sheet detailing assembly and medal removal, which bears a reference code D104568 in the lower right corner.
