Three Volumes of Golf Literature, including Mitchell, Clark, and Hebron (Signed) (DJ)
A trio of golf-related books of instructional and historical significance. The first volume is Robert Clark's Golf: A Royal and Ancient Game, published by EP Publishing Limited, 1975. This hardcover edition is bound in light green cloth with a matching pictorial dust jacket. The interior features a bookplate affixed to the front flyleaf with an owl illustration and a manuscript signature reading Doug Jetter. The title page identifies Clark as F.R.S.E. F.S.A. Scot. The second item is a softcover edition of See and Feel The Inside move The Outside by Michael Hebron, PGA, copyright 1984, printed by Rost Associates, Smithtown, NY. The title page bears a manuscript signature in blue ink reading Michael Hebron. An ex-libris bookplate for Joseph S. F. Murdoch, featuring a green silhouette of a golfer, is affixed over a photograph on the interior. The third volume is Down to Scratch by Abe Mitchell, published by Methuen & Co. Ltd., London. It is a hardcover edition with a green dust jacket, edited and arranged by J. Martin of Verulam Golf Club, St. Albans. The text includes 60 illustrations and a diagram. The dust jacket spine shows an original price of 5/- NET. All three volumes contain various black and white illustrations, photographs, and instructional diagrams.
