"The Champ is Here" is what the patrons, tournament workers and competitors thought when Tiger Woods walked into the 1997 Disney Oldsmobile Golf Classic if they didn't say it. Doubtful Tiger Woods did, unlike Muhammad Ali would while dominating a different sport decades earlier. In 1996 20-year-old Woods collected just his second win on the PGA Tour. Bold and well centered on this 1997 ticket is Wood's black PSA 10 (!) time-period sharpie signature taking up much of the ticket from the Sophomore campaign in which he won his first Masters. Woods posed for the perfect media photo op next to Disney's Tigger mascot after his victory. Few saw what would transpire with his golfing career over the next decade plus - amassing 80 more wins and one of the greatest golfing careers anyone has ever witnessed. Before anyone knew what kind of ride he was going to take the world on, he had to show up and start somewhere. Rookie season, second win in a month. Less than two months since turning pro Woods had his second PGA Tour win besting Payne Stewart by one after as sizzling 66 at the Magnolia Course for a 21-under finish.
