Tiger Woods Signed 2013 Upper Deck Master Collection Gold Ink #1/1(!) Card PSA 9 Auto 9
This ultra high-end golf card set, Tiger Woods Master Collection boxes topped $12,000 on the secondary market last year fueled by the hopes of hitting a 1 of 1. Inside one of those Upper Deck treasure chests was this gold marker signed on-card 1 of 1 commemorating Woods' 5th win on tour at the Byron Nelson Classic - just 9 months into his pro career in 1997 and 3 after his Masters win. This PSA 9, Auto 9 card design incorporates a post-swing 21-year-old on the left edge with a close shot of his youth portrayed to the right looming over the striking gold auto and its highly significant "1 of 1" scarcity designation in the bottom right corner. Protected and encased in a deluxe wooden hinged box with a tray insert was each of the 80 desirable high-end, thick, (same) low print serial numbered #/200 Tiger Woods Masters Collection base golf cards. These showcasing a win from his then 80-win illustrious career, along with the three signed insert cards were included in the 2013 box that sent golf collectors into a frenzy. That Tiger Woods Master Collection set was produced on the heels of a highly successful like-release centered around fellow Upper Deck athlete and generational talent Michael Jordan. Not the first time those athletes have been in the same sentence, be it a GOAT conversation or that of a collector/investor's plan for their ideal portfolio. Have a Tiger piece that no one else does.
