Hardcover edition of The Course Beautiful: A Collection of Original Articles and Photographs on Golf Course Design by Albert Warren Tillinghast, published in 1995 by TreeWolf Productions of Lynchburg, Virginia. The volume serves as a posthumous anthology of articles and photography by Tillinghast, a seminal figure in American golf course architecture, with content originally appearing in periodicals such as Golf Illustrated. This quarto edition includes a foreword by golf course architect Rees Jones and features a personal remembrance by Tillinghast’s grandson. The book is illustrated throughout with numerous black-and-white and color photographs, alongside reproductions of Tillinghast’s technical sketches and course layouts. A prominent printed facsimile signature of the author appears on the title page. Accompanying the book is a tri-fold promotional brochure for the New Castle Country Club in New Castle, Pennsylvania, which includes photographs of the clubhouse and course.
