Tom Stewart Heard & Yeoman Hand Forged Mashie Niblick

Here we offer a club that has the Tom Stewart dot and stovepipe punch with Heard & Yeoman stamped on the back of the clubhead. Widely regarded as the best steel club head maker from 1893 until 1932, here is an excellent Tom Stewart iron example bearing his stovepipe stamp. Stewart made club heads for the biggest names in golf at the time, like Old Tom Morris, the McEwans, the Auchterlonies, the Forgans, James Braid, Francis Ouimet, and Bobby Jones. "Of all the old Scottish cleek makers who worked during the wood shaft era, Tom Stewart was the most respected in his day and is the best know today. He was not the largest producer or the most innovative, but his high-quality products and his location in St. Andrews, where many great championships were held, brought him in contact with many of the elite players of the day," Louisville Golf stated on their website in regard to the legendary clubmaker. 37"
