Two Early 20th-Century Scottish Topographical Postcards of North Berwick and Carnoustie
Two monochrome topographical postcards featuring historic Scottish golf locations. The first card depicts a group of players on a green at North Berwick with the town and North Berwick Law hill in the distance. The front is printed in the lower margin with the text SCOTTISH GEMS J.V. and NORTH BERWICK. The reverse carries a printed advertisement for a Glasgow company reading OUR Slogan : THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT IS A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. J. DUNCAN & CO., Ltd., 71 QUEEN STREET, GLASGOW. The second card shows a street view in Carnoustie including the facade of the Golf Inn. The front left margin contains the vertically printed text J. S. CAMERON and CARNOUSTIE. The reverse of this card features an elaborate blue printed photographer mark consisting of a heraldic crest with an armored arm holding a sword, a ribbon motto reading PRO REGE ET PATRIA, and the text J. S. CAMERON Photographer CARNOUSTIE. The J.V. mark on the North Berwick card identifies it as a production of the Valentine and Sons publishing firm.

Each lot will get its own 30 minute clock, which will extend by 30 minutes any time that lot receives a bid during extended bidding.
