Two Masters Tournament Commemorative Golf Ball Sets Featuring Titleist 2004 and Callaway Arnold Palmer 50th Appearance Editions
This lot comprises two commemorative golf ball sets produced for the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
The first set is a 2004 Masters Tournament dozen golf ball set manufactured by Titleist. The set is housed in its original green metallic commemorative box, which features a photographic image of the 12th hole, Golden Bell, on the lid. The collection contains four individual three-ball sleeves, with each ball and sleeve printed with the 2004 Masters logo. The underside of the outer box includes a printed scorecard for the course, detailing a total yardage of 7,290 and a par of 72. Markings on the packaging include Titleist, 2004 Masters, a barcode 0 84984 15493 5, and an original retail price of $40.00.
The second set is an Arnold Palmer 50th Appearance commemorative tin set produced by Callaway Golf to celebrate Palmer's consecutive appearances at the Masters from 1954 to 2004. The set is contained within a decorative lithographed tin featuring various images of Palmer. The contents include four Callaway Big Bertha golf balls, each printed with Masters Champion and a specific year of Palmer's four victories: 1958, 1960, 1962, and 1964. Also included is a bronze-tone commemorative medallion. The obverse of the medallion features a relief portrait of Arnold Palmer with the dates April 8-11, 2004, and a facsimile signature. The reverse displays the Callaway Golf logo, Palmer's signature umbrella logo, and the text Arnold Palmer's 50th appearance at the Masters.
