Two Vintage Two-Tone President Style Wristwatches Including Timex Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and Gruen Precision
This lot features two vintage wristwatches with corporate and commemorative dials, both designed in a two-tone style with fluted bezels and jubilee-style bracelets. The first item is a Timex Bob Hope Chrysler Classic commemorative wristwatch. It features a silver-tone base metal case with a gold-tone fluted bezel and a stainless steel case back. The champagne dial is set with gold-tone baton indices and includes a day and date aperture at the 3 o'clock position. A commemorative logo for the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is located at the 9 o'clock position. The watch is powered by a quartz movement, indicated by the M Cell marking on the case back. It is fitted with an integrated two-tone jubilee-style metal bracelet. Case back markings include Timex, M Cell, Water Resistant, Base Metal Bezel, Stainless Steel Back, Assembled in Philippines, and the number 09. The second item is a Gruen Precision wristwatch, reference 001-2105. It features a silver-tone base metal case with a gold-tone fluted bezel and a stainless steel case back. The champagne dial has gold-tone baton indices, a minute track, and a day and date aperture at 3 o'clock. The dial is printed with a green corporate logo for CGO featuring a palm tree motif. The watch is equipped with a two-tone jubilee-style metal bracelet, and the clasp is marked with a stylized P logo. Case back markings include Precision, Gruen, 001-2105, Water Resistant, Stainless Steel Back, and Base Metal Bezel. Neither watch is currently in working order.
