Type 1 (Original)Arnold Palmer Wire Photo Exuberant Over Win at 1960 U.S. Open

Arnold Palmer exuberantly reacts in this type 1(original)wire photo of his final putt at Cherry Hills to win the 1960 United States Open. Many golf historians belief that this was Palmer's finest career moment, and one of the most significant moments in the history of the game. Photo displays standard wear and trimming from newspaper use often associated with original photos. Reverse of the image retains original 1960 caption cutline which appeared in newspaper along with subsequent caption and markings from continued use of this classic shot over the years.

Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
