Unusual Right Or Left Handed 'M&N 7' Roller Head Putter w/ 'A. Moodie' Shaft Stamp
Jeff Ellis states that this is a vintage head and vintage shaft, however they were not original to each other or this club. This is covered in his publication The Clubmaker's Art Two in the replica section. A. Moodie Stamped on the wood shaft just below the leather wrap grip, M & N 7 stamped on the shaft end of the brass roller. The roller putter's cylinder head does just that, rolls along the ground striking the ball cleanly to limit wayward shots. The revolving head to fit around original head. Could be marketed not just as a putter, but a multipurpose club that can run a ball up to the green, approach it or even play through it. This is similar in design, but is not a circa 1907 Gallwey patented roller putter, it is a more recently produced putter as mentioned initially. 35"
