Vintage Golf Ephemera Including St. Andrews Old Course Map, Baltusrol and Mexico Pro-Am Flyer
This collection contains three pieces of vintage golf-related paper ephemera. The first item is a promotional tournament flyer titled First INTERNATIONAL Over-50 PRO-AMATEUR in the World, scheduled for November 28 to December 3 in Mexico City and Acapulco. The document lists attending professional golfers in two circular graphic sections, featuring names such as Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen, and Tommy Armour, with Bob Hope noted as an honorary guest. The second item is a color plan of the St. Andrews Old Course in Scotland, credited to the Dundee Courier and Advertiser and Evening Telegraph. The map identifies specific course landmarks including yardage, Swilken Burn, Swilken Bridge, and various bunkers. The third item is a 1954 Christmas greeting folder from the MacGregor Golf Co. The front features a reproduction of an oil painting of Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, by the artist Ralph C. Reynolds. The interior text reads MacGregor Golf Co. wishes you a Joyous Christmas and a year of happiness in 1954.
