Walter Hagen Signed 1937 Handwritten Note w/ LESCO Tournament Flag
This lot consists of two vintage items associated with World Golf Hall of Fame member Walter Hagen. The first item is a golf hole flag manufactured by LESCO of Elyria, Ohio. The white fabric is stenciled with red and blue text reading WALTER HAGEN GOLF TOURNAMENT GALLATIN OIL COMPANY A C S. The second item is a handwritten and autographed personal note from Walter Hagen, dated April 8, 1937. The note is written in ink on off-white paper and addressed to Don Mackintosh. The text reads: Apr 8th,1937 My dear friend Don Mackintosh The birdies I got with your gun - came much easier than any I've got on the world's most famous golf courses. Walter Hagen. The signature is located at the bottom right of the note.
