Walter Hagen Signed and Inscribed 'The Walter Hagen Story' Book

Walter Hagen (1892-1969), the first giant of American golf who captured 11 Majors and raised professional golf, in general to a never previously seen levels. The golfer's meticulously penned blue ink signature ('Golfingly - Walter Hagen 1957', "10" strength of autograph) has been placed on the flyleaf of this hardcover first edition copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story'. Published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer. The book shows some wear on the cover, but remains in good condition. See photos for more detail.

Inscription reads as follows:

To Bob Murray
Any friend of Hagen's
Is a friend of mine
Golfingly yours
Walter Hagen
