This octavo volume is a centennial history of the Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton, Massachusetts, titled Myopia 1875-1975: A Centennial Chronicle, compiled and edited by Edward Weeks. The work provides a comprehensive record of the club's first century, documenting its history in fox hunting, golf, and other sports. The book is quarter-bound in red cloth with yellow cloth-covered boards. The front cover features a central red-printed emblem depicting a fox's head within a circular rope border, surmounted by the date 1875 and flanked by hunting horns and ribbons. The spine is lettered in gilt with the title and centennial dates. The endpapers are illustrated with a detailed printed map of the Myopia Hunt Club golf links as they appeared in 1975, complete with a table listing the names, yardages, and par for each of the eighteen holes. The interior is profusely illustrated with black-and-white photographic plates showcasing historical figures and sporting events, including portraits of National Open Championship winners Willie Anderson and Fred McLeod, and squash champion Eleonora Sears. The copyright page indicates the work was copyrighted in 1975 by Edward Weeks.
